First Meal Plan of 2017!!

Happy New Year everyone!! I would love to say that I woke up yesterday morning ready to face 2017 and get back on track - but I woke up a dying of flu with no energy. So my planned morning run turned into bacon & eggs for breakfast  (and a jambon & sausage roll while I waited for breakfast to cook) followed by games night at my parents house with plenty of wine and food. 

So this morning I woke up, still sick, but on a mission to get back to it. I know I am probably up about 7lbs and I can see and feel it in my body. I am avoiding mirrors, especially when I am getting dressed because I just don't want to really see how bad it is. I feel bloated and pretty miserable (the flu is not helping) so despite the fact that my parents had sausages, black pudding & bacon in the house, I stuck with poached eggs on a slimbo for breakfast. We left my parents early and headed for a lovely walk up Killiney Hill. 

I then spent the afternoon filling the house with healthy food and putting together my meal plan for the week. Next weigh in is on Thursday and by then I will be well and truly ready to face the damage of Christmas, take my gain and move on from it. Hopefully I can do a little bit of damage control between now and then! Keeping it simple this week, but am hoping to be back experimenting for new recipes for the blog in the next few weeks so watch this space!

  1. I would love you to come cook at my house... I am not nearly so good with the plans. How did your week go? I hope you FACED the MUSIC and you're back on track... Holidays are tough; and it's ready to move forward!
