Holidays Over - The Next Challenge Begins

The beach - it is now a distant memory to me! I got back from my week in Portugal in the early hours of Wednesday morning. I completely over indulged and I am finding it difficult to find my way back on track. I feel like I need something to direct me on the straight and narrow.

I had mentioned before I went away that I had a little challenge in mind and one hopefully others can join in with. I have spent the past few months focusing on my diet that now it is time to focus again on my fitness. I have decided to sign up for a 10k run on November 16th in the Phoenix Park. I would love if anyone interested in focusing on fitness for the next few weeks might be interested in joining team 59lbs to go.

There is both a 5k and 10k option and it is open to all fitness levels. You can find more details of it here http://dublin.mo-running.com/

There are 5 weeks to go on Saturday, so I propose that I will post my own personal weekly training plans. People can adjust these to suit their own fitness levels and personal goals. For those giving the couch to 5k a go this could be a great opportunity to get out there and put it to the test! The key to this all is to have something to work towards and maybe have a great day out.

If people are interested I am even considering getting team tshirts made up for the team involved! First weeks training plan coming on Saturday (followed by a complete run down of how amazing and over indulgent my weeks holiday was)!

    1. I was going to suggest that one, but as its midweek would be more difficult to organise a group. Sounds like a great run and we can get prepared together!
