Weigh In 12

 



After being very careful all week to counteract last weekend I am happy to say that the scales this week showed a glorious -2.5lbs. That is 20lbs gone in 12 weeks. Got my 10% sticker and book, and I am one third of my way to goal. I have one more pound to my next silver 7 so fingers crossed that comes next week.

I figured out why the weight I thought I am was half a pound lighter than the WW scales, my starting weight was half a pound more than I thought. On my white card the was a little squiggle beside the 4st 3 and that squiggle was half a pound. So I've still been right with what I have been losing, just wrong with where I started.

I have to say I am really starting to feel the weight off me. I feel lighter, more confident. My clothes are all fitting me better, this week I fit back into a pair of jeans that I bought last year and I was only able to wear for a month before they got too small. So I am making a promise to myself now, they next time these jeans don't fit me it will be because they are too big, and they will never be too small again!

And now to get going on another week! Onwards and downwards!!

Crab Chilli Pasta

This is a great friday night quick but really tasty dinner. I love crab and I love pasta, whats not to like. So here goes.

Serves: 2
Smartpoints per Serving: 10 sp
Smartpoints on No Count: 0 (if using brown spaghetti)
Propoints per serving: 10pp
125g spaghetti
110g crab meat
1 red chilli chopped finely
2 large cloves garlic chopped finely
zest and juice of half a lemon
handful of chopped flat leaf parsley
1 tbsp good quality olive oil

Put your spaghetti on to boil.
While that is cooking put your chilli, garlic and olive oil in a pan and turn on the heat. (i find the garlic doesn't burn if you put it in and heat with the oil.)
Cook for about 3-4 mins until the garlic and chilli is just soft. Add in the crab meat and lemon zest and juice and a good seasoning of salt and pepper. Cook for a further minute or until hot through and stir in the parsley.
When the pasta is cooked stir through the crab mixture with a small amount of water if necessary.

Serve immediately with a leafy green salad.

I have a couple of risotto recipes I will post later in the week. Have been cooking a lot of Italian food lately. Very easy and tasty.

Weigh In 11

After my post yesterday, you can only imagine my surprise when stepping on the scales to see -1.5lbs showing. I could not believe it. It has given me the kick I need to get back into the swing of it and am back to tracking every mouthful! Am a bit fluey which I will hopefully get rid of quick so I can get back to the gym.

There does seem to be a bit of a discrepancy between what I have logged as having lost over the past 11 weeks and what last nights scales showed me. My calculations have me at 12st 13.5lbs but the WW scales says im 13stone on the dot. No idea where I lost that half pound, but am logging myself as being down 1lb for last night. Gonna have another look at it next week to see!

Paddy's Weekend = Hell for Propoints

Had been so good right up until Saturday night. Got to a house party - out came the bowl of doritos and in went my hand. Couldn't stop. I knew what I was doing was wrong but I was so hungry!Then home at 4am and the OH ordered dominos. Still was pretty good, only had 2 slices and some garlic pizza bread. Had stayed within my dailies and weeklies. If I was able to get back on track on sunday then Iwould have been fine.

But no - my brain stopped working and I spent most of sunday eating, ate a lot on monday and even today, with my WI tonight I have gone overboard. Ihave gone at least 20 pp over my allowance and so am dreading getting on scales. Weighed myself monday morning and was down 1lbs from last weeks WI - then monday evening was up 2lbs. So I just don't know.

Going to go and face the music and hopefully get back into the mindset tomorrow. I have to get back into the mindset. Not letting myself go back to my old ways!

Weigh in 10

Another 1.5lbs lost for good :-) Everything is fitting me so much better, the jeans I am in now there is no sign of the muffin top and I'll soon be able to get into the smaller (but still a size 14) pair in my wardrobe! Have exceeded my target of 1lbs a week and am averaging at 1.5.

Signed up for the mini marathon, last time I ran it I was able to do it in 1hr 6 mins with very little training - I know this time is going to be totally different but am just going to aim to do my best and run/jog as much as I can!

Quick Dinners

So continuing on my catch up posting - here are 2 quick and easy dinners that I made recently. Both super tasty!

Pan-fried Tuna w/ Warm Tomato & Caper Dressing

Serves 1 - 6pp

1tbsp capers in brine
15g olives in brine, chopped roughly (optional for Filling & Healthy/Simple Start)
Cooking spray
125g fresh tuna steak
2 tomatoes roughly chopped
1 heaped tbsp basil chopped

Sweet Treats

I haven't exactly followed my plan of making one sweet treats per week, but here are a couple that I have tried that are absolutely delicious!

Chocolate & Berry Roulade
I made this for my family when I had them up for dinner and it was a big hit, even my mum who does not eat desserts had half a portion.

Makes 6 servings - 5pp per serving

1tsp cornflour
1tsp vanilla extract
1tsp malt vinegar

Weigh In 9

I lost half a pound! The sense of relief was immense. I was so convinced from the way I was feeling that it would be STS or at worst up a bit. Slowly slowly wins the race as they always say.

Finally got the charger for my computer back too so I'm going to post a few of the recipes that I have tried in the past couple of weeks!

Bloated?

So the past 2 weeks have been horrible. I have stuck to my points, have had some weeklies left over, drank loads of water and for the most part made healthy choices in using my pp but I just feel bigger. Granted I have not done as much exercise as usual - but I have still done something!

Last week I had my STS and my WI is tonight and I am so worried about STS or
