I love this time of year but it is seriously tiring. I feel like I am exhausted all the time. Trying to get all my work done before the end of the year, get christmas shopping done, keep my running up and get the socialising done. My apartment constantly looks like a bomb hits it, and any time I manage to find the sofa I find myself falling asleep. I really cannot wait until Wednesday when I finish work for a whole week and a half!
With things being so manic and the fact I am so tired, it is even harder than usual to stay on plan. Despite my Christmas part last week, I still managed to lose 2.5lbs. I pulled things back fully on the Sunday morning and had a great week after that. Since then I have been a bit all over the place. I had an off plan day on Saturday, but on my other days I feel like I am being really lax about tracking and just don't feel healthy. My last weigh in before Christmas is Thursday so it would be nice to lose a little more by then. I am 1.5lbs above goal, so being as close to that would give me a little breathing room to enjoy Christmas without worrying too much.
This is going to be my last meal plan of the Year. As much as I would like to think that I will be sticking to a set meal plan the week after Christmas, I just know it won't happen. I will however be trying to make the healthiest choices I can and whenever I am home, eating low smartpoint options. I also have no intention of slowing down with the running! Thanks to the wonderful shivvyhickey over on Instagram, I have now signed up for the Fat Turkey Run on December 28th. It is a 10km run up and down Howth Head and I am already pretty nervous about it. I am not a good hill runner, but the way I figure, even if I walk most of the way up and run back down I am still out there getting some exercise. And it is keeping me on track with my training.I usually slow my running right down at this time of year and don't pick it back up again until February. This year is going to be different, I have big plans for 2017 and running, so I am going to keep the training up all through December and keep the momentum going for 2017.
I am also looking for some suggestions for posts for the New Year. Any recipes that you are looking to lighten up a bit, or any weight loss related topics you would be interested in reading about - leave a comment here, pop over to my facebook page or drop me an email at 59lbstogo[@]gmail.com
