Struggling!
I'm feeling a bit down tonight. I have had an over indulgent weekend and I am feeling very very guilty. I am currently 1.5lbs above my goal and was hoping to get that back down this week but the chances of that are pretty slim, in fact I will most likely be adding to it. I don't know where my self control has gone and I don't like it. I started out really well this week, was on track to a great weekend. Then last night I went out for a few drinks. Wasn't planning a mad one but the pub we were in had the most delicious cocktails and after a few of those that was it, me gone for the night. I have been pretty good about staying away from late

Happy Paddy's Day!!!
Paddy's day is upon us and its a hard day to keep on track. This time last year I was quite close the beginning of my journey I remember how good I was for most of the day and how guilty I felt when I indulged in dominos that night. I measured and tracked every single drink I had, and until about 3 am that night the only food I had was good healthy food until about 3am. This year I have already used up my weeklies, which means it will be a sober Paddy's day for me.

Bolognese with Courgette Spaghetti
I love bolognese, but I always find that with the mince it can be very high in propoints, and by the time you add in a portion of pasta it can be a very high propointed dinner. I have remedied this in the past by using quorn mince which is a great low propoint alternative, but it really is not the same as actual mince. I mean it can easily be included in your daily allowance but I am always looking for ways to make my propoints go further.

Smoked Salmon Muffins
This recipe was in this weeks RTE guide and since I had 100g of smoked salmon and needed an easy breakfast option for the weekend, it was perfect. They are pretty yummy and nice both warm and cold. They come in a 4pp each and only 3pp if you don't have any cream cheese, but I personally think you need it. Enjoy!!

Going for GOLD!!!
I am now officially a gold member!! I got my card last night and have been moved onto gold membership. So now as long as my weight stays within five pounds of my goal weight then I will be a gold member forever. Its been 3 weeks since I hit my gold weight and I still feel like I am walking on air! I have posted some progress photos throughout my journey, here here and here. But now I can finally post a proper before and after!

Saucy Saucy
I love fish. All types (except oysters) and lucky for me its incredibly good for you. Shellfish and white fish are unbelievably low in pro points and the oily fish like salmon and mackerel, while higher in pro points, are the best types of fat you need in your diet. So all in all a win win.
